Fulton House in Columbus City to be razed landmark loss
Columbus City loses a landmark as the Fulton House hotel, opened in 1861 and run by Mrs. Fulton after her husband Abram Fulton’s death, is razed. Once a Civil War era two story frame building on the main street, it drew travelers and salesmen for Mrs. Fulton’s chicken dinners and local commerce. The building’s front office was removed years ago and the site becomes a memory of early Columbus City’s hotel era. LAS VEGAS Nevada reports 966 gambling locations with 22 178 slot machines and 1 439 other licensed games available in the state.
