The eco friendly box holds baby bracelet baby ring hair lock a 14 month photo a church symbol school mementos a grade school trophy and a first car photo. It also features his eighth grade basketball team a senior year graduation announcement and a collection of hobbies including stamps a butterfly and golf trophies. Mrs. Young plans similar boxes for Mike siblings Marty and Susan and Mike praises his mother for her loving creative gift.

At K C Hall Washington Tuesday evening the Office Education group hosted its employers and guests for the first annual OE banquet. Eighty two attended with Terry Goeke state OE treasurer serving as MC and giving a speech The Chicken of the Egg. Richard Wood welcomed guests Connie Williams gave the invocation and Eva Downs led the pledge.

YMCA annual report meeting and banquet set in May
Washington YMCA members and friends are urged to attend the annual report meeting on Tuesday May 13 at 6 30 p m in the Y Community Room. Washington man treated after late city crash
Jimmy E Tolander 23 of Washington was treated at Washington County Hospital for minor injuries from a traffic collision just before midnight Tuesday. He was driving a car that hit a parked auto owned by Raymond A Hibler on East 11th Street near North Seventh Avenue at 11 57 p m Tolander was charged with turning his vehicle from a direct course. Property damage was placed at 1400.

Tornadoes death and widespread storms hit Omaha and Iowa
Severe storms from Missouri to Texas brought tornadoes to Omaha and Council Bluffs, causing three deaths in Omaha, over 100 injured, and extensive damage.
