Estherville crash kills woman age 75
Estherville Iowa Mrs Martha Berge 75 died Tuesday in a two car crash on highway 17 near Estherville. Her husband John Berge 4 collided with Phillip Hanisch 18 Ruthven. Berge pulled out in front of Hanisch after stopping at an intersection. Hanisch was not seriously injured.

44 Dead as Pacific Air Lines F27 Crashes in California
A twin engine Pacific Air Lines F27 from Stockton to San Francisco crashed on a ranch near Danville California at 9 50 a m killing all 44 aboard including 40 passengers and three crew plus a FAA observer No survivors were found The plane originated in Reno Nevada and crash investigators headed by Lee Martin were dispatched from Washington to the site.
