Three Suits Name Local Businessman Larry A. Duncan
Larry A. Duncan of Washington is named as a defendant in three district court lawsuits filed last week. The largest suit, filed by Dr. LaVerne Eicher and wife Marilynn J., seeks $25 000 over alleged fraud in a house addition and mortgage dealings. Other suits involve $11 218 74 and $4 166 66 claims by Disciplines Diversified Inc. and Lowell A. Swarthout respectively, with additional defendants in the Eicher case including Coordinated Estates Services Inc Southeast Iowa Builders Inc Citizens State Bank of Donnellson and Don Miller. The Eicher petition alleges May 1973 conferences and fraud deceit inducements promises and misrepresentations leading to a mortgage and co mingling of funds, with an unfinished house and unpaid bills. Swarthout contends owed salary for January 15 to March 15 1974 after an oral agreement at 25000 per year.
