He declined at first but sent a $50 check yesterday without coercion, after being informed tickets cost ten dollars and would aid the band’s Switzerland trip.

Girl Drowns During Hills Outing at Palisades Park
An 11 year old sixth grade student, Carol Rutcamp of Hills, drowned Thursday afternoon while on a school outing at Palisades Kepler State Park. She slipped on rocks while standing on an earthen dam and fell into the water. She was recovered two minutes later by Eugene Newton, assistant park chief, but could not be revived. The girl's mother, Mrs. Robert Rutcamp, chaperoned the trip.

Washington High School elects student body leaders
Steve Butler was elected president of the Washington High School student body in a Thursday vote. Butler ran on the Salad Party ticket and was joined by three others from the United Party: John Sobaski as vice-president Patty Sojka as secretary and Steve Goff as treasurer. Narrow escape as antenna topples into highline
Mr and Mrs Earl Chorpening of Grace Hill were laying a TV antenna when it toppled onto a nearby highline. A jolt knocked them out. Chorpening revived first and carried his unconscious wife to safety. She later woke and was treated for shock and burns. he had lesser injuries and was not hospitalized.
