Davenport teen shot by police during tavern burglary
Davenport, Iowa United Press International report says Joseph Lopez 17 of Davenport was critically wounded by Patrolman Ted Hooper after fleeing a tavern burglary scene at the Happy Hollow Tavern. Eyewitness John Wakefield said Lopez was struck after breaking through the front door and continuing to run. The second youth, 17 from East Moline Illinois, was arrested when returning to the scene.
