Walter B. Enix age 48 of East St. Louis Illinois and Frank K. Finch age 62 of Mason City Iowa died in a head on crash near Mt Pleasant Iowa. Elizabeth Crouch and Mrs Edward Shannon were seriously injured along with two others. Enix died at nine this morning.

A $12,000 blaze in Orient Iowa this morning destroyed the Roy Slezak garage housing the town’s fire apparatus and damaged an adjacent grocery. Firemen could not move the Orient fire truck. Greenfield crews helped control the fire, destroying a tractor, an automobile, and farm machinery.
