Farmers threaten Manchester daylight time boycott
In Manchester Iowa Delaware County farmers plan an economic boycott of local merchants to push the city back to standard time. About 240 farmers voted at the old school gym to urge merchants to state their stance on daylight saving and to trade elsewhere if they oppose returning to standard time in summer. The effort targets the city council which earlier moved clocks to daylight time from April 26 to October 4.
