Pine knot freight car catches fire on railway line
A flat car loaded with pine knots on the Gulf Mobile and Ohio line caught fire late yesterday. Trainmen disconnected the tank car and moved it under a water tank but the wooden tank caught fire. Prichard firefighters were summoned but a passing Southern Railway train cut the water hose before they could apply water.
