The Washington State Bank names Larry L. Wells as assistant cashier, moving from Des Moines where he worked at Valley Bank and Trust. Wells, a Parsons College graduate with four years in the U.S. Air Force, and his wife will relocate with their two children to Washington around April first.
Thom E. Dewey renowned crime-busting attorney and former New York governor died of a heart attack in Miami Beach. He would have turned 69 on March 24. His body to be flown to New York for funeral services. autopsy pending. Dewey planned to attend a White House dinner and St. Patrick's Day events before his death.
Sen. Francis Messerly proposes freezing top earners at current levels for the next year while granting raises to those below 15 000 dollars under a flexible plan. The concert is aided by a Town Arts Council grant with a large 80 voice college choir and 30 voice chorale and a reduced orchestra.
