Miss Mary J. Johnson of Waukon died at St Thomas Mercy hospital after injuries from a Saturday night auto collision near Marshalltown. Libel Suit Filed Against Governor Wilson in Des Moines
Des Moines attorney Lehan T. Ryan former assistant attorney general filed a $15 000 libel suit against Governor Trelee A. Wilson. The suit stems from an audit report that Ryan received 605 for legal services in the Nichols Savings Bank receivership while serving as attorney general. Ryan says the fees were earned after returning to private practice in 1937. Wilson offered no comment.
