Crawfordsville high school opened district play at Burlington with a 29 to 12 win over Wyman. The first half was tied 7 to 7, and after three periods Crawfordsville led 13 to 9 before a strong final period surge.
A hole burned in the roof of the McNamara residence on East Jefferson was caused by a chimney spark. Firemen controlled the blaze with chemical extinguishers. Mrs. Belle Rice occupies the upper apartment while the lower unit is vacant.
