Mrs. Albert Graber Dies After Childbirth Near Wayland
Mrs. Albert Graber died at eleven this morning at her home near Wayland after giving birth to a daughter at two o'clock. Funeral plans were not set. Newton Iowa June 30 The Maytag company local and I O union propose to evacuate the factory and return to work if the company agrees to wage negotiations without a ten percent cut. The union resolution calls for negotiating on all disputed items and arbitration on unresolved matters, to be sent to Governor Kraschel for urging company agreement. Unanimously approved at a special meeting in which 790 union men attended with about 200 wives and auxiliary members. Earlier in the day inside the plant workers voted unanimously against accepting the company proposal.
