Fairfield worker E. H. Higgenbottom of the city water department found $360 in gold coins while repairing his home's foundation. Workmen uncovered an old corner piece and coins spilled out. The dates ranged from 1879 to 1911. Higgenbottom has lived there eight years and recalls no one hiding the money.

Mrs Joe Arnold Dies at Brighton
Mrs Joe Arnold died about 11 o clock last night at her home in the Sandyhook community north of Brighton. She was 69 and had diabetes. Funeral services will be held at 2 o clock Saturday at the Christian church with Rev R W Fillmore. Burial will be at Sandy Hook cemetery. Survived by husband and three children Mrs Martha Raney of Bloomington Ernest of north of Washington and Mrs Nita Warr ier of Verdi. There are 10 grandchildren. She had lived here about 18 years after coming from Tennessee.
