ASC cites law to give planting credit
A new law signed by the President provides drought or disaster relief to producers in Production Adjustment Programs who are blocked from normal plantings. They may receive credit for direct price support payments under conditions, via a written statement to the County ASC Committee, with restrictions on future planting of feed grains, wheat, tobacco, or sugar beets this year. Howard Lins, Chairman, notes additional crops on affected land won’t affect payments. Contact the County ASCS Office for details.
