Washington Bride Weds Bruce E Watson at First Presbyterian
Miss Le Anna R Lunning daughter of Mr and Mrs Henry A Lunning and Bruce E Watson son of Wilbur Watson and the late Mrs Watson were united in a seven oclock ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church Washington Rev Clarence W Dehne officiated in the presence of 175 guests The gown of silk peau de Soie with Alencon lace featured a Sabrina neckline long sleeves and a detachable train The bride carried white roses and pink carnations The bridal party included Mrs Howard Lanning as matron of honor and Charles Watson best man The reception followed in the church parlors with deep pink and white flowers and a four tier satin topped cake The couple will reside in Chariton after a honeymoon trip to Colorado and the west

Jane McGaffey started work for the summer Monday at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield. She will be a Mercy School of Nursing senior this fall. Mrs. Glenn Holden returned home Sunday after surgery in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, last week. Pam Hite, daughter of Pauline Hite, went to Cedar Falls for eight weeks of summer school at the State College of Iowa.

Harold Johnson underwent surgery at Mer Hospital in Iowa City this morning. Susie Young left Thursday for Nisswa Minnesota to work this summer at Okre's Dutch Oven in a resort area, with work starting Saturday. Mrs. Robert Brewer had foot surgery at St Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids and may stay hospitalized through Friday. Mrs. Julie Young returned Monday from Nissan Minnesota after taking her daughter Julie to work there this summer, stopping in Allison Iowa to visit friends.

Auto Hits Farm Tractor on Riverside Road
According to the Washington County Sheriff's office an auto driven by Joe Kos Richmond ran into the rear of a farm tractor driven by Larry Marek parked by the roadside eight miles north of Washington at 6 p.m. Saturday. There were no injuries and no charges filed. Damages were $100 to the Marek tractor and $450 to the Kos car.
