Delegates at the Iowa Republican convention were offered a 12 page platform urging tax refunds to states, fair housing, smaller legislature, subdivision of legislative districts, an air pollution law, anti LSD measures, county consolidation, a state department of cities and towns, safety equipment rules for cars, higher education tax credits, and a definite conflict of interest law. It also calls for cutting federal pork and export quotas, limiting USDA grain disposal, curbing the anti poverty program, and condemning Democrat tax and war policies.
