Livestock and grain market roundup from Des Moines Joliet and Chicago
Des Moines reports slow trade and strong demand with hogs and sows rising, quoted weights from 200 to 550 pounds with prices listed for No 1-3 and sow categories. Receipts estimated at 60,000 with Friday and Saturday figures shown. Joliet notes cattle and hogs up modestly, steers and heifers rising, hogs higher at No 1-3 ranges. Chicago grain figures appear as an extensive, numeric range across multiple bids and dates, reflecting a volatile trading day.
