Ballantyne named superintendent of seven county vocational district
Dr Selby Ballantyne was appointed Friday as superintendent of the merged seven county area 10 vocational school district in Cedar Rapids. The 49 year old former Bettendorf superintendent will begin immediately and help with budgeting and staff setup as the district plans to buy equipment, operate the Cedar Rapids vocational technical school, levy taxes, and possibly construct new facilities.
