Bequest Expands Sunset Park With New Addition
An elderly Washington woman Mrs. Dora Bailey bequeathed 184 by 243 feet of land east of the municipal pool entrance to the Washington Board of Park Commissioners. The parcel, to honor her daughter Anne Bailey, will expand Sunset Park as a playground site and complete the park north of the highway. The will also directs gifts to charity and a Kansas State University scholarship.
