Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh, tired of luncheons, left his Manhattan apartment for Curtiss field on a short auto ride and spent about an hour among planes, then quietly returned. He flew a Curtiss Oriole racer for 15 minutes in overcast, rainy weather. A second note says Lindbergh rose before dawn with Captain Richard Blythe to visit Curtiss field, returning unseen except for guards at his building. Carnival to Be Held on The Square Washington Downtown Uptown Shift
The Wolf Amusement Enterprises carnival will operate on streets around Central Park in Washington next week under American Legion Leon Beatty post auspices. After business owner feedback, city officials granted a downtown venue with roped streets after seven pm, moving from the Bere bod lot end of South Iowa Avenue to the square area.
