Washington death in rural crash claims Diana Miller
A 1 year old girl died and two siblings were seriously injured when a car left a county road near Washington Iowa around 2 30 am Sunday. Diana Lea Miller 16 year old Roberta Miller 13 and Jack Hazelett 15 were involved and Diana died Roberta and Jack were hospitalized with severe injuries and head trauma. The accident occurred one and a half miles north of Rex Smith corner on Highway 92 east of Washington. Diana was a Washington High senior active in the United Church of Christ Future Homemakers of America Headliners 4 H and worked at the Four Corners Cafe. Funeral plans set for Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home. Memorial fund established in her name. Parade routes announced for upcoming Washington 125th anniversary celebrations starting at the county courthouse.
