Walter Eastwood Accepts Pastorate
Walter Eastwood, formerly assistant pastor at the Milton church near Philadelphia, has accepted a call to be the regular pastor of the Wasulligtion Meesuyteriad Presbyterian church in Milton Pa. The Milton church, with 600 members and a weekly attendance of about 500, will be Eastwood’s first regular pastorate. He is a graduate of Washington College and earned a Master of Theology from Princeton Seminary after a year at the White Bible School. His son, Walter J. Eastwood Jr., sent a letter informing him of the decision.

Two New Trains on Rock Island Sunday
Agent Lewis Goodlander of the Rock Island line announced two new trains to begin service Sunday. Local between Joliet and Allerton, they run fast between Rock Island and Chicago with No 1 arriving 4 15 PM and No 12 departing east at 8 52 PM, adjusting times by minutes. No 4 and 5 remain unchanged.

Municipal Band Concert Tonight in Central Park
The Washington Municipal Band opens with a saxophone quartet in two popular pieces at 8 o'clock in Central Park. The season will feature periodic concerts with varied ensembles. 40 new chairs were purchased for summer events. Thanks are given to L A Jones and Sherton Funeral Home for past season use of their chests. Band roster includes Lester Muck, Mel Lee, Herman Matucha, and others across cornet, clarinet, flute, saxophone, bassoon, trombone, baritone, bass, and percussion sections with Milo Sorden directing.
