Two Washington fire alarms respond to sheds and hay field
Firefighters answered two calls on Thursday. A shed on North Avenue C burned due to a neighbor's trash fire, causing considerable damage before it was controlled. Later, hay baling equipment on the Yaro Chmelar farm southwest of Washington was engulfed, badly damaging the equipment. Tickets are on sale for the June 17 Century Farm Recognition Banquet at Knights of Columbus Hall.
