Miss Ethel Grecian Iowa county auditor received 11 000 ballots from Mrs. Alex Miller secretary of state for the June 20 repeal referendum. About 10 590 ballots ordered for this county will be printed from state plates to ensure uniformity. The sample ballot will be printed in the Journal plus the governor issued election proclamation.
Orange City Iowa June 1 Richard Popken began serving six months in county jail after pleading guilty to participating in an attack on Judge Bradley of Le Mars. An additional year sentence was suspended.
The sixth annual county convention of the Royal Neighbors of America will be held in Riverside on Wednesday June 7. Officers include President Fannie Meeks and Vice President Mary Soukup. The program features registration at 9 00, opening by Riverside Camp, readings, reports, installation and talks by supreme officers.
Fifty-nine Washington children will be ready for kindergarten next fall per a P. T. A. census. A summer health round-up for these children is set for Tuesday June 6 in the YMCA community room. Dr. H.
