An Iowa Department of Public Safety notice announces reduced hours for driver license renewals tests and related services starting Friday August 2. Acting director Jim Fetters explains the change aligns with the Fair Labor Standards Act and department budget limits, with crews working a shorter week including travel time. Washington operations move to Wednesdays from Legion rooms at city hall until further notice. Renewals run 10 a.m. to 1 9 p.m. Driving tests 10 to 11 30 a.m. and 1 to 3 45 p.m. Written tests 10 a.m. to 3 45 p.m. Motorcycle tests 2 p.m.
