Mr and Mrs H R Edmondson of 602 North Sixth Avenue report a July 19 letter from Major J A Bradmas of the US Army Air Forces Personal Affairs Division concerning their son Staff Sergeant Lyle R Edmondson listed as missing in action over Germany since May 24. The note notes a May 29 report that Edmondson Flight Fortress B 17 took part in a Berlin mission May 24, was damaged and collided with another aircraft near the target at about 11 06 a m and that no further observations were possible. Due to security, names of crew and next of kin cannot be released. Private Leighton Edmondson, another son, is on furlough before visiting brother Hadley Edmondson in Alliance Nebraska.

Two Washington youths killed in Ankeny bus crash
