Livestock Prices Rise At Chicago Market
Chicago markets show higher livestock prices today with hogs up 75 cents to $1 per hundredweight and bulk at 21 to 21.59. Choice hogs sold last week at 22, the top since 1919. Steers advanced 25 to 50 cents with most at 22 to 25 and a few at 26. Other midwestern yards posted uneven gains or drops.

Forty Veterans Chosen for Iowa Highway Patrol Training
Forty World War II veterans from 30 Iowa counties were selected for the 1946 Highway Patrol Recruit Training School at Camp Dodge, Aug 29 to 31. Commissioner Fred L.
