An advertisement lists ice cream prices and delivery details from Drammond Ice Cream Co and notes social notices about Kilgore family returning to Chicago and Attorney Bailey expected home from Detroit. It also calls for daily labor on Main Street via Contractor Bickford and a request to call Hotel Allen for a bus, with assurances of prompt attention.
A local tale describes Washington youths on an outing in the woods with a keg of eight gallons of beer that they later revealed was water.
