Pipeline blast in Alaska kills worker during pump restart
A mistaken order to restart a pump being repaired may have caused the Alaska pipeline explosion that killed one man and injured five others. Alyeska Pipeline spokesman Larry Carpenter said an order was issued and accepted to restart the pump despite ongoing maintenance.

Clown Injured at Brighton Rodeo Gate Jump Incident
Wayne Dunbar a 24 year old rodeo clown from rural DeSoto sustained leg injuries when a horse jumped a gate and fell on him at a Brighton rodeo Sunday. He received bruises and muscle spasms but no broken bones after 2 30 p m. He wore substantial protective gear and was taken to Washington County Hospital where he was treated and released.
