The unknown man, about fifty, was found in Clear Lake near Mason City and appears to have died five or six days earlier. Epworth League Lawn Social at T. J. Anderson Home

The Epworth League group held a pleasant lawn social at T. J. Anderson’s corner of Lawn and Jefferson streets. Lanterns lit the lawn as ice cream lemon ices and cake were served, with an indoor program supervised by Miss Attie King featuring piano solos, solos by Alma Brindley and Elle Hunt, a "Three Old Jews" number, and songs by Root- Tea-Na Co. members. Proceeds totaled about $16.

Worst cave-in at the sewer line halts work this morning

Workers brace sides after a major cave-in along East Washington street. The bottom filled, creating a twenty foot wide hole before brickwork could begin. Work resumed in the afternoon as crews press ahead with the project while risks are addressed.
