Mrs. Hannah Sherfey Farnsworth died Sunday morning July 6 at her daughter’s home in Washington. Funeral services were held at the Hood residence on South Street, conducted by Rev. H. E. Stark, with interment at Elm Grove Cemetery. Born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Dec 2, 181? and moved to Iowa around 1840. she married Azel Farnsworth of Muscatine County in 1847 and had four children J. Farnsworth, Mrs. Ida Flood, and Miss Carrie Farnsworth. a son died in infancy. Since 1885 she resided in this city.
