Belkader-Dewey Hensel Held for Investigation in Watson Shooting
Dewey Hensel 44 of near Watson was detained at Clayton county Jail Wednesday for investigation following the shooting of Mrs. Frank Havlicek 31 at the Havlicek home three miles east of Monona. Mrs. Havlicek was shot in the back of the head and neck through a window while talking to neighbor Art Hensel, with her two children present. She was taken to Postville hospital Tuesday night and described as doing nicely.

Rudolph Nelson, 67, a farmer from five miles southeast of Red Oak, died in a Red Oak hospital of head injuries believed to be from a fall after leaving the Hilltop cafe Tuesday night. Sheriff Zeph Morvan said Nelson struck the back of his head on stairs.
