Former Justice of Peace Here Is Dead
Funeral services were held at Anoka Minnesota for W Barber who died January 7 at Robbinsdale Hospital after an operation for a ruptured appendix two weeks earlier. Barber lived in Washington eight years before moving to Anoka ten years ago and served as justice of the peace there. Born 1870 in New York state he married Jennie Harbaugh on August 10 1909. He held pastorates in Spencer and Missouri Valley and worked as a school teacher a telegraph operator and served in the Spanish American War. He is survived by his wife and several relatives including Mrs Elmer Burham formerly of Washington a sister of Mrs Barber.
