The Agnes Villa company staged at the Grand last night to one of the season’s best crowds. The performance offered admirable acting with strong emotion and bright clean comedy, entertaining the audience. Booker T. Washington will lecture at Graham Saturday evening under Academy societies. County Recorder Recieves Notice For Matrimonial Union

County Recorder Thomas Allen receives a marriage license request from Mrs. Isabel Turnipseed for herself and Mr. Joseph Adams. The couple, aged 58 and 70, are longtime county residents with grown children and broad approval. Allen secures the license and forwards it to the clerk’s office. An orchestra is formed in the city by J Albert Conaway, with Lester Mintle as first violin and a list of players across strings and wind instruments.
