Nixon Budget Seeks Record 246 Billion Deficit Forecast

Dean Andre dies after cancer and flu complications
Dean Floyd Andre, 62, longtime head of Iowa State University College of Agriculture and director of the agriculture and home economics experiment station since 1949, died Tuesday night at Mary Greeley Hospital after a week of hospitalization. Born in New Sharon, he earned his BA, Masters, and PhD at Iowa State and previously worked with the US Department of Agriculture and the University of Wisconsin in the 1940s.
