Snowstorm forces cancellation of two junior high games. Washington eighth grade boys were to play Fairfield. ninth grade boys would play Muscatine West at home. Eighth grade re scheduled for 4 p m Feb 12 in Fairfield. ninth grade for 4 p m Jan 15 in the local gym.
Washington County Extension Service offers a two day Farm and Home Management Short Course for younger couples under forty. It runs January 17 and 24 from 9 50 a m to 3 p m in the Washington YMCA Community Room with seven speakers covering farm business, records, credit, fertilizers, livestock profits, and family life. Pre registration is encouraged at the Extension Office. on site registration allowed.

Temperatures fall tonight from below zero in the northwest to near 10 above in the southeast.
