Fire destroys shop at Max McClintic farm near Brighton
Firefighters from Brighton and Richland responded to a blaze at the Max McClintic tenant farm five miles southwest of Brighton at 4:20 a.m. Thursday. A medium sized shop building and its contents were destroyed, with about $1,000 in tools and equipment and a nearly new motorcycle lost. Officials believe a heating stove caused the fire as zero temperatures hampered efforts.
