Firemen Answer Two Alarms In City Sunday
Washington firemen answered two calls Sunday raising this year’s total to six. The first blaze struck the new apartment building on Marion Avenue south of the square owned by Jim Bash where insulation in the ceiling fed the flames and crews broke through the roof. The second fire occurred at 904 Lazear home where furnace fumes from paint and varnish caused a basement blaze. smoke filled much of the brick house after the family had moved in recently.
