Two people died when a car collided head on with a dump truck a half mile north of Alden in Hardin County. Gustav Pingel and his wife Lillian were killed. Steven Ellis, 22, the truck driver, is in good condition. Earlier, Hanah Olson, 63, of Northwood, was struck by a dump truck on Iowa 65.
