Roy G. Schiebel 71 of 402 South Iowa Avenue died Thursday February 15 1962 at the local hospital after two weeks of illness. Funeral services are set for 3 30 p m Saturday at Jones Funeral Home with Rev Lloyd Latta officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. He was born April 12 1890 in Stark County Iowa and married Mabel Elizabeth Otto March 23 1911. He farmed until 1923 then worked as a sales representative for Peterson Paper Co. in Davenport before returning to Washington in 1948 and retiring in 1958. He was a Methodist and survived by his wife two sons Roy Jr. of Barrington Illinois and Vernon of Moline Illinois four grandchildren a brother Charles of Washington and a sister Mrs Gail Kirk of Missouri Valley Iowa.
