Citizens summoned for petit jury duty are excused for the next Tuesday as the criminal case has been continued. Clerk Carol Giardino announced jurors will be notified when to report again.
Section leaders and captains involved in the 1977 YMCA enrollment drive will gather at the Y at noon Monday. Reports on progress will be given and plans for completing the drive discussed. All captains and section leaders are urged to attend.
Washington Junior High music groups perform in a free public concert labeled Junior High's A Poppin on Monday at 7 30 p m Open to all attendees with no admission charge.
Iowa Army National Guard members will gain practical experience in their specialties during two week encampments. The 134th Medical Company from Washington will train at Fort Sam Houston Texas July 16 to 30 alongside the Headquarters Detachment 109th Medical Battalion and the 209th Medical Company from Iowa City. One unit the 3655th Maintenance Company from Camp Dodge will train in Germany in August. exact site not announced. Encampments require 88 hours of actual mission training per member.
