Miss Catharine Bridget Wheelan 78 died at 3 20 this morning at her sister Mrs Joe Lohbergers home 5156 North Avenue C Waterloo of a stroke of paralysis She was born April 28 1857 at Freeport Illinois and lived in Columbus Junction Washington and Waterloo before returning to Washington Funeral services likely Saturday at St James Catholic Church Waterloo with burial there Surviving are one sister Mrs Lohberger and three brothers Will Wheelan Council Bluffs and others in the area.

Mrs J M Milt Godfrey formerly of Washington died today at Mt Pleasant hospital during the noon hour from meningitis after a three week illness. Surviving are husband four children two sisters and a brother with one grandchild Willard Thompson. The Godfreys were longtime Washington residents active United Presbyterian church members.
