Washington pancake feast serves 18224 at city hall
A grand pancake day at city hall drew crowds of 150 to 250 queuing from the lobby to the sidewalk. About 6,780 people were served with 18,224 pancakes, seven gallons of cream, 99 pounds of butter, 86 pounds of coffee, 440 pounds of syrup and 60 pounds of sugar. The event featured a pancake eating contest won by Stanley White and business support from local firms and volunteers.

Old Time Fiddlers Contest Draws Pancake Eaters at City Hall
