A young German Shepherd with a silver chain was struck on South Fourth Avenue. Neal Lampkin family members took the dog to Dr. M. L. Flickinger who splinted a broken back leg and seeks owner instructions for further treatment. In Des Moines, Gov. Ray and his wife left for Spain with Iowa Beef Producers Association members to inspect Spain as a market, a trip with about 160 people lasting to Jan. 5.
