November arms output records biggest gain since 1940

Keota Youth Fined After Ditching Car
Keota teen Lowell Statler, 17, admitted intoxication on a public highway after a ditching on highway 92 near Keota. He was fined 25 dollars, his license sent for suspension, and jailed briefly. Police found a .22 caliber pistol and empty beer bottles in the car. Statler, on parole in Keokuk County, said he planned to enlist in the navy.
