Three Youths Admit Break-Ins On Christmas Eve
City authorities say three youths admitted breaking into at least six homes and one business on Christmas Eve on the east side of Washington. They turned over watches lighters money and wrapped Christmas gifts they took. Three Die in Fire at Old Frame House Apartments
In the early hours three occupants died when a chair fire swept through an old frame house converted to apartments in Aokthamitun, near the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co building. Two others were critically burned while ten residents were saved after being awakened by the blaze. The medical examiner identified the dead as Mrs. Elizabeth Latham 63 Roman Karza 45 and Edmund Kropiewski a visitor.
