Mrs Otto Sheetz hosted the Good Will Club Christmas dinner with eight members and a guest. The Saddle Club held its annual turkey and ham supper at the Fairgrounds with a gift exchange. Fleur de Lis and HH Club hosted Christmas events, with readings, carols, and secret sister exchanges. LBC Club noted new officers and a Bible verse roll call, plus gifts for a veterans hospital. Immanuel Lutheran Circles Meet Tuesday
Immanuel Lutheran Church circles held meetings Tuesday. The morning circle, led by Mrs. Dwight Bode, took names of women for holiday help. Mrs. Jim Jorgensen led the lesson for the morning group. The afternoon circle, hosted by Mrs. Karl Schmitt, with lesson leader Mrs. Paul Boettcher, met as well. Evening circle hostess was Mrs. Irvin Simmering with Mrs. James Gallagher teaching. A sweater gift and other articles were sent to a woman at the Lutheran Home in Muscatine.
