Ainsworth Christmas Concert by Two Churches

VFW Dance Planned At Hall December 17

All eligible veterans and their wives in the Washington community are urged to attend a free VFW dance and Christmas party at the W.E.L.W. hall on Friday evening December 17 at 8 30 o clock. Milo Steele arranged the orchestra and music is funded by the musician's union transcription fund. The Post No. 7SU8 held its regular meeting and adopted new by laws for approval while six new members joined. Department headquarters praised the post for its membership drive.

Stores to Remain Open in Evenings for Christmas Shopping

After surveying over half of Washington's merchants the Chamber of Commerce announced most local business houses will stay open for Christmas shoppers on the evenings of Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday December 21 22 and 23 Some establishments may also stay open on Monday evening December 20 in addition to the other three days.
