Two Children Die in Wisconsin House Fire
In Seneca Wisconsin a frame farmhouse five miles west of town burned Sunday killing two four year old twin boys Mark and Marty McGuire. Their father William McGuire survived the blaze and attempted to reach the upstairs where a one year old boy and a six week old girl were trapped. Mrs McGuire, who had taken older children to church, was treated for shock after learning of the disaster. Firefighters worked hours to recover the tiny bodies from the ruins.

Rites Set for D Hal Sands 81 in Washington
D Hal Sands 81 of Washington died Saturday December 13 1958 at Washington City Hospital after months of ill health. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p m at Jones Funeral Home with Dr Evert L Haney in charge. He was born August 18 1877 near Ainsworth and lived much of his life as a farmer. Survivors include three brothers Lee Frank and Glen and two sisters Mrs Fred Donaldson and Mrs Ida Ross.

Mrs. Everette Jones, 73, died suddenly Saturday night at her Richland home from a heart condition after a brief illness. Funeral Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Gould's Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. Born February 1885 in Hopewell, she was the daughter of Hollingsworth Morgan. Married Oct. 9, 1904, to Jones. they spent their married life in Richland. Two Boys Found Alive in Canyon After 10 Hours
In Azusa California two boys William Parks five and Michael three lay injured for ten hours in a deep San Gabriel canyon beside the bodies of their mother Sally Parks and her companion Jumal Fenton. Police said fog hid the wreckage and the car plunged down the canyon late Saturday night.

Richland Farm Home Damaged by Fire
Richland firemen were called at noon Saturday to extinguish a roof fire at the Bud Lankford home three miles southeast of Richland. Practically all furnishings were saved and the house was kept from destruction though the roof was badly damaged. The house is owned by Harold Bray. The Lankfords, parents of five children, moved to the Ed Ross property in the southeast section of Richland Sunday afternoon.

A 16 year old boy linked to a murder spree is sought across the Southwest after a mother and her four children were found slain at their Irondequoit New York home. Lois Pendergast 37 was killed and the two younger children throat slashed with two disembowelings. Father Thomas Pendergast 29 passed a seven and a half hour lie detector test and said he will devote himself to church and youth welfare.
